Understanding the Event Card on an Event Page

Learn how to navigate and use the event card for managing key event details

Summary

The event card appears at the top of every event page and provides a quick overview of all critical event information. This includes client details, event name and date, financial summary, and event status. The card is interactive, allowing you to upload client images, view detailed cost breakdowns, and manually adjust the event's stage or status.

Instructions

  • The circular icon on the far left allows you to upload a client's image. Click it to add or update the image, which appears on the event card.

  • Next to the image, the event name and date are displayed prominently.

  • To the right, view the financial summary, which includes:

    • Total event cost

    • Price (with tax included)

    • Profit, shown either as a dollar amount or percentage

  • Hover over any financial figure to see a detailed breakdown, such as:

    • Flowers, waste, hard goods, labor, and other costs

    • Overhead and tax

  • On the far right, you'll see a status chip that indicates the current stage: Inquiry, Proposal, or Booked.

  • The event status updates automatically as actions are taken (e.g., sending a proposal), but you can manually change it by clicking the status chip and selecting a new stage like Canceled or Lost.

  • Above the status chip, a lock icon indicates whether the event is editable:

    • Events start unlocked during the inquiry phase

    • Once a proposal is sent or the event is booked, the event becomes locked

    • Click the lock icon to unlock and edit quantities or pricing

  • Below the event card, navigation tabs help guide you through the workflow:

    • Proposal creation

    • Flower ordering

    • Team build instructions

  • The event card stays visible at the top as you navigate. If you scroll down past it, a mini version appears so you can still interact with it.
