Add and manage card types to build out your event’s recipe

Summary

The Recipes tab in FlowerBuddy allows you to create a detailed breakdown of your event using different card types. Each card type serves a specific purpose—from floral arrangements and fixed costs to group-based summaries. This guide walks through how to add each card type, where to place them, and how to rearrange them.

Instructions

  • Go to the Recipes tab within an event.

  • Click the Add Item button to view available card types.

  • Types of cards you can add:

    • Section Card: Organizes your invoice or proposal into labeled sections.

    • Floral Recipe Card: Add flowers, hard goods, and labor to calculate a suggested retail price for an arrangement.

    • Fixed Cost Card: Enter a flat cost item (e.g., van rental), apply a markup, and include it in the event pricing.

    • Percent-Based Card: Calculate a cost as a percentage of all non-percent cards and optionally add a markup.

    • Group-Based Card: Contain multiple fixed or recipe cards in one card. You can control the visibility of sub-items and their prices.

  • Inserting cards at specific locations:

    • Hover above, below, or between any existing cards and click the plus (+) icon.

    • Select the desired card type to insert it at that position.

  • Rearranging cards:

    • Click and hold the six-dot icon at the top-left corner of any card.

    • Drag it to the desired position and release to place it.
