Combine recipe cards and control visibility using group cards

Summary

Group cards in FlowerBuddy let you nest multiple recipe or cost cards into a single, organized section—perfect for sets like tablescapes or bundles. You can control what your client sees, apply quantities at the group level, and add inspiration photos and notes. This article shows how to create, configure, and customize group cards effectively.

Instructions

  • Add a group card:

    • Hover between any two cards and click the Add Group option from the green menu.

    • Rename the group card (e.g., "Tablescape").

    • Set the quantity for how many times this group appears (e.g., 10 tables).

  • Create a new recipe within the group:

    • Click Add Recipe inside the group card.

    • Rename the recipe (e.g., "Bud Vase").

    • Set the quantity for how many per group unit (e.g., 3 per table).

    • Add flowers, hard goods, and labor as needed.

  • Move existing cards into a group:

    • Grab an existing card using the six-dot icon.

    • Drag it over the group—it will appear semi-transparent until you drop it in.

    • Once inside, the card’s quantity is multiplied by the group quantity.

    • Update the card's quantity to reflect the per-group unit (e.g., 1 centerpiece per table).

  • Customize the group card:

    • Click the expand arrow to open the group-level content.

    • Add inspiration images by searching or uploading (e.g., centerpiece photos).

    • Add group-level notes or descriptions.

  • Control client visibility:

    • Use the Sub-items toggle to decide whether clients see the details of nested items.

    • If turned on, clients see names, photos, and notes of each item inside the group.

    • If turned off, only the group card appears on the client-facing proposal.

  • Rearrange items within a group:

    • Drag and drop recipe or cost cards inside the group using the six-dot icons to change order.
