Summary
This guide explains how to add and use percent-based cost cards in FlowerBuddy to calculate both costs and discounts. Percent-based cost cards are calculated against the pre-tax subtotal of all non-percent-based items and can be used for various purposes such as delivery charges or discounts.
How Percent Card Calculations Work
Percent-based cost cards are calculated against the pre-tax subtotal of all non-percent-based items, allowing users to add costs or discounts based on a percentage of these items.
How to Add a Cost Card
Navigate to the recipes tab.
Click the green percent cost button at the top of the section, or hover over the line between or below any existing recipe cards to reveal a menu.
Click the percent icon to add a percent-based card.
Expand the percent-based card and enter a whole number in the cost percent field.
Optionally, add a markup percentage in the markup field to include a profit margin.
How to Use a Percent Card for Discounts
Follow the steps to add a percent-based cost card.
In the cost field, enter a negative number to apply a discount.
The price will reflect the negative amount, reducing the overall cost.
The discount will automatically adjust based on any changes to the event quantities.
Amendments will recalculate the discount based on updated client numbers.
