Summary

Role-based access control (RBAC) in FlowerBuddy allows you to customize what each user in your workspace can view, edit, or manage. With unlimited role creation and granular permission settings, you can control access to events, flowers, pricing, profit data, and more. Once roles are configured, they can be easily assigned to workspace members from the Members page.

Instructions

  • Go to your Workspace Settings, then open the Roles tab.

  • The Roles tab displays all existing roles. You can create as many roles as needed to match your team's structure.

  • Click New Role to begin creating a new role.

  • Enter a role Name and Description, then configure the following permission categories:

  • Event and Plan Permissions

    • None – No access to events.

    • Assigned – Access only to events assigned to the user.

    • All – Access to all events in the workspace.

    • Note: View permission is required before edit permission can be enabled.

    • Optionally allow the user to create new events.

  • Flower and Hard-Good Access

    • Event Items – Access to items already added to events.

    • Workspace Items – Access to items from the Core Data page.

    • All Items – Access to both workspace and full FlowerBuddy library items.

  • Item Creation Permissions

    • Toggle whether users can create new flowers or hard-goods.

  • Pricing Permissions

    • Set whether users can create or edit pricing for flowers and hard-goods.

  • Cost & Profit Visibility

    • Enable or disable user access to cost, overhead, and profit information.

    • When disabled, only retail pricing is visible.

  • Page Access Controls

    • Select which pages each role can view or access in the workspace.

  • Once all permissions are set, click Save and Close to add the role to your list.

  • To assign a role, go to the Members page.

  • Find the user and use the Role column to select and assign a role.

  • Confirm your selection to apply the role.
