Automatically factor platform and processing fees into your recipe pricing

Summary

FlowerBuddy’s pricing formula lets you automatically account for the FlowerBuddy booking fee and Stripe credit card processing fee by increasing the recommended retail price of each arrangement. These adjustments are applied using toggle switches in the markup settings, ensuring your client pricing reflects your true costs. This guide walks through how to enable those options and what they affect.

Instructions

  • Go to the Details tab of your event and scroll down to the Markup section.

  • Click Edit Settings to open the markup settings pop-up.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up to the Overhead section:

    • You’ll see two toggle switches:

      • Account for FlowerBuddy Fee

      • Account for Stripe Fee

    • These are enabled by default, but you can toggle them off or on based on your preferences.

  • How fee adjustments work:

    • When enabled, FlowerBuddy adjusts the recommended retail price of each recipe item.

    • FlowerBuddy Booking Fee: Adds 2% to the recommended price on Starter plan accounts.

    • Stripe Processing Fee: Adds approximately 3% to the price to account for 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

  • Live pricing impact:

    • With both switches turned off, the recipe price reflects base calculations only.

    • Turning on the FlowerBuddy fee increases pricing by 2%.

    • Turning on the Stripe fee adds another 3%, resulting in a final adjusted retail price.
