Edit pricing, notifications, and display preferences per event
Summary
Each event in FlowerBuddy inherits markup and pricing settings from its template or global settings. However, you can customize these settings at the event level. This includes modifying the pricing formula, payment notifications, profit display, pricing tolerance for warnings, and the date format for documents. This guide walks through where to find and update each of these event-specific settings.
Instructions
Go to the Details tab of the event you want to modify.
Scroll to the bottom to find the Markup section.
View or change the pricing formula:
The markup section displays inherited pricing markups from a template or settings.
Click Edit Settings to open an editable view of the flower pricing formula.
Changes here only apply to this event and do not affect templates or global settings.
Update event-specific settings:
Next to the markup section is a Settings section—click Edit to modify it.
Payment Notification Emails:
These emails remind clients about upcoming payments.
Use the toggle switches to control how many reminders are sent.
Profit View Settings:
Choose how profit is displayed on the event summary card—either as a percentage or a dollar value.
Price Warning and Error Settings:
Set fixed prices instead of using suggested retail values from the pricing formula.
If a fixed price is lower than the recommended price, a warning is shown.
To avoid warnings for minor discrepancies, set a Price Tolerance Warning Level.
For example, a $10 tolerance means no warning unless your price is off by more than $10.
Date Format:
Change the date format used in payment schedules and invoices to match your regional preference.
