Summary:

The tutorial focuses on how to manage inventory items using an inventory management page, apart from doing it within events. The video walks through pulling and returning items for specific events, adjusting quantities, and also includes options for handling inventory items for other purposes like renting to fellow florists or selling items.

Instructions:

  1. Navigate to Inventory Management Page:

    • Open the inventory management page and locate the item you want to pull or return.

    • Expand the item details by clicking the down arrow to the right of the item.

  2. Pull Items for an Event:

    • Click the "Pull Item" button.

    • A pop-up will appear with the option to "Pull for an event."

    • Select the relevant event from the dropdown that appears. This will pre-fill the quantity based on your recipe for the event.

    • Optionally, click the "Advanced" button to make any changes.

    • Click "Submit." The in-stock number will decrease and the "rented" count will increase.

  3. Return Items for an Event:

    • Click the now active "Return" button.

    • Select the associated event from the dropdown.

    • The pop-up will pre-fill the quantity to return.

    • You can adjust for any lost, stolen, or damaged items if needed.

    • Click "Submit." The in-stock and rented counts will update.

  4. Pull to Rent for Other Purposes:

    • Click the "Pull Item" button.

    • In the pop-up, below the "Pull for an event" dropdown, you can choose to "Pull to Rent" or "Pull to Sell."

    • Specify the number of items and to whom you are renting.

    • Click "Submit." Inventory counts will update accordingly.

  5. Restock Without an Event:

    • Click "Return" and fill in the number of items you're restocking.

    • Click "Submit."

  6. Liquidating/Selling Off Items:

    • Use the "Pull to Sell" option to mark items as sold, reducing the total in-stock count.
