Add, customize, and share event timelines with your team and clients

Summary

The timeline feature in FlowerBuddy helps you manage key events throughout the day of your event, such as loadout, setup, and ceremonies. These timeline items can be linked to saved locations, including custom addresses with contact info. You also have the option to show or hide specific timeline items from client-facing proposals, keeping internal plans visible only to your team.

Instructions

  • Go to the Details tab of your event and scroll to the Timeline section.

  • Click Add Timeline Item to open the location and time setup pop-up.

  • Enter a name for the timeline item (e.g., "Loadout" or "Reception").

  • Select the time for this item. For example, set Loadout for 1:00 PM on the event day.

  • In the Location field, choose from saved locations or click Add Location to create a new one.

  • To create a new location:

    • Enter the name of the location.

    • Use the address field to search and select a location via Google Maps.

    • Optionally, add a point of contact, phone number, website, or notes.

    • Click Create to save the location.

  • Click Create to add the timeline item to your event.

  • Repeat the steps to add more timeline items (e.g., Setup at the venue).

  • To control visibility in the proposal, use the Show in Proposal toggle next to each timeline item:

    • Turn it on to include the item in client-facing proposals.

    • Turn it off to hide it from clients while keeping it visible to your team.

  • All timeline items, regardless of visibility, will be included in team-facing build instructions.
