Using Decoupled Group Quantities in FlowerBuddy
Manage subcomponent quantities independently from group totals
Summary
This feature allows you to separate the group quantity from its subcomponents so quantities are no longer automatically multiplied. This impacts pricing, stem counts, hard goods, and labor calculations. It is designed for advanced use cases where you want to present a simplified group while managing detailed variations behind the scenes.
Instructions
Open the group card you want to edit.
Click the advanced toggle to reveal additional settings.
Enable the option to decouple group quantity.
Manually enter the total quantity required for each subcomponent.
Set subcomponent quantities based on the overall need rather than per group unit.
Adjust quantities carefully to ensure totals match your intended output.
For example, if you have 10 tablescapes with one centerpiece each, set the centerpiece quantity to 10.
If using two different bud vase designs evenly across 10 tablescapes, set each design to 5.
If each tablescape requires two candles, set the candle quantity to 20.
Review pricing, which is calculated by summing all subcomponents and dividing by the group quantity.
