Apply individual or group taxes to your events or templates
Summary
FlowerBuddy allows you to apply individual tax profiles or tax groups to any event. You can create new tax profiles on the fly, select saved ones, or apply predefined tax groups for consistency. For recurring tax setups, consider adding taxes to your event templates. This guide covers how to apply taxes efficiently based on your event’s location and billing needs.
Instructions
Go to the Taxes tab of your event.
To add an individual tax:
Click Add Tax.
Search your existing saved taxes or click Create New Tax Profile if none exist.
In the pop-up, enter the name, select amount or percent, and input the value.
Click Add, then Add Tax to apply it to the event.
Tax will be calculated automatically for event items marked as taxable.
To add a group of taxes:
Click Add Tax Group.
Choose from your saved groups or click to Create New Tax Group.
Name the group and select multiple existing tax profiles to include.
Click Add to apply the group to your event.
Best practices:
If your sales tax remains the same for every event, add it to your event templates.
If taxes vary by event location, add them individually within each event using the steps above.
