# Roles

The **Roles** tab contains two different kinds of shared definitions. **Workspace Roles** control what a member can view, edit, and manage across FlowerBuddy. **Event Roles** name responsibilities, such as Designer or Delivery Lead, that can be assigned on individual events and used for task assignment.

The workspace owner can open this tab. **Workspace Roles** is available when role-based access is enabled for the workspace. Event-role definitions are managed here, but assigning a person to an Event role happens on the event's **Details** tab.

The Roles tab shows workspace access roles above the shared Event role definitions.
