# Use a referral code

Use the **Referral Code** tab to copy your workspace's code or redeem a code from another account or an active FlowerBuddy promotion.

The copy control and redemption field are shown in separate sections of the tab.

## Share your code

Open **Workspace Settings** and select **Referral Code**. Under **Share Your Referral Code**, use the copy action beside the code. Paste it into the message or place where you are sharing it.

## Redeem a code

1. Under **Redeem A Referral Code**, enter the code in **Referral Code**.
2. Select the checkmark icon at the end of the field.

FlowerBuddy formats the code as you type. A code must be valid and active. A customer referral code must belong to another account, not the workspace redeeming it.

When FlowerBuddy accepts a valid referral code, it records the code on the workspace and applies the associated FlowerBuddy credit balance transaction. Check the confirmation or error message before assuming the code was accepted.
