# Check client payments and bank payouts

A client payment records money paid for an event. A bank payout is the payment provider's transfer of funds to your bank account. Review the event payment in FlowerBuddy first, then check the matching provider for the payout.

**Workspace Settings > Payment History** records your business's FlowerBuddy billing activity. It is not the place to trace a client's payment or its bank deposit.

## Find the client payment

1. Open the event and select **Details > Payments**.
2. Find the paid row and check its amount, paid date, and payment method.
3. For an online payment, select **View transaction details**.
4. Review **Provider** and the available transaction reference, base amount, tip, application fee, and refunds.

A row manually marked paid as cash, check, or other records money received outside FlowerBuddy. It does not create a Stripe or Xplor Pay transaction or payout.

If the expected row is still unpaid, first [review the online payment result](/reference/event-page/details/help-a-client-make-an-online-payment.md#submit-the-payment). Avoid asking the client to pay again until you know whether the provider accepted the first attempt.

## Check the provider that received the payment

Use the provider shown on the transaction. A workspace can have both Stripe and Xplor Pay connected, and card and ACH can use different processors. Today's [processor selections](/reference/workspace-settings/integrations/payments/choose-payment-processors.md) do not establish which provider handled an earlier payment.

* For **Stripe**, open the [Stripe Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/). If your login has several Stripe accounts, choose the account connected to FlowerBuddy. Compare its account ID with **Stripe Account ID** under **Workspace Settings > Integrations > Payments**.
* For **Xplor Pay**, open the [Merchant Portal](https://merchantportal.xplorpay.net/) with your merchant credentials. These are separate from signing in to FlowerBuddy. Use the portal's username or password recovery if necessary. Xplor Pay's [portal sign-in instructions](https://support.xplorpay.com/knowledge-base/merchant-portal-virtual-terminal-user-guide/) explain those recovery options.

Search the provider's transactions using the payment date, amount, and transaction reference. If you expected Stripe but the FlowerBuddy transaction says Xplor Pay, check Xplor Pay for that payment. Changing the current processor or reconnecting Stripe does not move the original transaction.

## Review the bank payout

Once you have found the payment, review the provider's funding records:

* In **Stripe**, review payouts and their expected deposit dates in the Dashboard. Use Stripe's [payout guidance](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts) for its status and timing information.
* In the **Xplor Pay Merchant Portal**, open **Funding**, choose the month and year you are checking, and search. Compare the funding date, amount, deposit or withdrawal type, and destination bank account ending. Xplor Pay's [funding guide](https://docs.xplorpay.com/guides/working-with-the-merchant-portal/managing-funding-transactions) explains these records and exports.

Use the provider's payment and payout details to reconcile the deposit. A successful client payment does not establish that the bank payout has arrived, and the event's payment date is not the bank deposit date.

## Get help with an unmatched payment

If you cannot match the FlowerBuddy record to the provider, contact FlowerBuddy support with the event reference, paid date, amount, provider, and transaction reference. If the provider shows the payment but its payout is delayed or failed, review that provider's status and any requested action, then contact its support about funding.

Share only the information needed to identify the transaction. Do not send card details, passwords, or bank login credentials. Leave the existing processor connection in place while investigating unless support establishes that it needs changing.
