# Configure retail pricing defaults

Use **Retail Settings > Markups** to set the assumptions FlowerBuddy uses for suggested retail recipe prices. The values are examples of a pricing model, not recommended rates.

## Price inputs

* **Design Fee (%)** is an optional percentage increase based on recipe cost. It is not a labor cost or a profit-margin target.
* **Flower Cost**, **Hard Good Rental**, and **Hard Good Sale** are separate multipliers because a workspace can price those item types differently.
* **Hourly Rate** and **Labor Multiplier (Time Estimate Based)** apply when a recipe uses a labor time estimate.
* **Default Labor Percent** and **Labor Multiplier (Percent Based)** provide the starting settings for percentage-based labor. A copied or duplicated recipe can retain its own labor percentage.

## Overhead and rounding

**Indirect Labor Percent**, **Owner Labor Percent**, **Facilities Overhead Percent**, and **General Overhead Percent** add the business costs your pricing model includes. Turn on **Account For FlowerBuddy Fee** or **Account For Payment Processing Fee** only when the suggested price should include that cost. These switches do not turn fees on or off, charge a client, or change a payment connection.

Choose **Round Suggested Prices** when you want FlowerBuddy to round a suggested price to the selected increment. Rounding changes the suggestion, not the underlying flower, hard-good, labor, or overhead costs.

Values save as you change them. Confirm the new value remains visible before leaving the tab. Existing plans and copied templates can retain their own settings, so review the individual record when its price needs to change.
