# Markups

The **Markups** tab contains the workspace pricing assumptions FlowerBuddy uses when calculating suggested prices for retail recipes. The groups describe different parts of a recipe's cost and selling price. They are not required florist rates.

Use **Design Fee** for an optional percentage applied to recipe cost in the suggested price. **Flower & Hard Good Multipliers** keeps flower costs, rental hard goods, and sold hard goods distinct. **Labor** supports time-estimate and percentage-based labor. **Overhead** accounts for indirect labor, owner labor, facilities, general overhead, and selected fees. **Calculation Settings** controls suggested-price rounding.

These are workspace defaults. Open a retail plan or plan template when one needs its own saved values. [Configure retail pricing defaults](/reference/retail-settings/markups/configure-retail-pricing-defaults.md) explains the choices.
