# Edit retail plan details

Open **Details** to change information shared across the plan. You need edit access and the plan must be unlocked.

Select the plan name to change it. Select the date range to choose both a start and end date, or use the available range shortcut when it matches the selling period. Review the range after editing because it affects plan organization and Retail Quick Reference availability.

Use tags and assignees to organize ownership. **Event roles** can identify responsibilities used elsewhere in FlowerBuddy, while direct assignees identify the people reviewing the plan. Add internal planning context in **Notes** and maintain **Plan Flowers** when a shared flower palette helps the collection.

Markups and settings affect calculations or plan presentation according to your workspace configuration. Review a product's price and cost after changing a value that affects its pricing assumptions.

## Check edit availability

When a field does not offer an edit control, first check whether the plan is locked or whether your workspace access allows edits. A person who can review a plan may not be able to change its shared details. Do not work around that boundary by changing product information to compensate for an incorrect plan date or shared setting.

## Put each detail in the right place

Use **Details** for information that applies to the full plan. Use **Recipes** for a particular product's product code, tier, description, image, ingredients, quantity, labor, and price. This separation makes it easier for a team to understand whether a change affects every product or one product only.
