# Print a retail plan

1. Open the retail plan's **Build** tab.
2. Select **Print Plan (PDF)**.
3. Review the available **Build PDF Settings**.
4. Select **Download** to save the PDF or **View** to open it.

Choose settings that make the product, ingredient, and preparation information useful for the recipient. A plan PDF is a plan-specific handoff. It is different from Retail Quick Reference, which can show recipes from active retail plans.

## Review settings before opening the PDF

The settings dialog controls the information included in the PDF. Choose the fields the recipient needs for production. **Show Recipe Images** includes product images, **Show Stem and Hard Good Images** includes ingredient images, **Show Recipe Notes** includes recipe notes, and **Show Recipe Prices** includes product prices. Keep the PDF short enough to scan during preparation.

The current **Build PDF Settings** dialog includes those four choices and **Download** and **View** actions. Review the selected choices before opening the printable result.

The PDF is generated from the current plan. Return to **Recipes** if a product quantity, ingredient, labor note, price, or product detail is wrong. Reopen the settings only after the underlying plan information is ready.
