# Build

Use **Build** for production handoff from a retail plan. **Print Plan (PDF)** opens the available Build PDF settings before showing the printable plan. Choose the information that will help the intended recipient prepare products without adding unnecessary detail.

Build also contains the Retail Quick Reference area. Retail Quick Reference is a workspace resource for staff who need active retail recipes and pull-list information. The same workspace link is also available in Retail Settings, which has the full setup and sharing reference.

The Retail Quick Reference area explains that only retail plans active for the current date can appear in the reference. When the workspace does not yet have a link, the area shows **Generate Link**. ## Choose the right handoff

Use a plan PDF when someone needs a fixed plan-specific production document, such as a build review or printed prep packet. Use Retail Quick Reference when staff need to look up active retail recipes and create pull-list information while working.

Before either handoff, confirm that the product quantities, ingredients, labor, and prices are current. Build surfaces the result of the plan setup. It does not correct an inaccurate recipe or replace the Order review.
