# Configure plan template pricing and settings

Use the **Markups** and **Settings** sections on a plan template's **Details** tab when this template needs values that differ from ordinary Retail Settings defaults.

**Markups** can hold the template's design fee, flower and hard-good multipliers, labor inputs, overhead assumptions, fee choices, and suggested-price rounding. This article covers the profit display, warning, and date-format controls in **Settings**.

In **Details > Markups**, select **Edit Settings** to change the template's design fee, multipliers, labor inputs, overhead, fee switches, or rounding. In **Details > Settings**, select **Edit Settings** to change profit display, warning tolerance, or date format. Review the values in the dialog, then select **Close**. The settings are copied when you create a plan from the template. They do not update plans that already exist.

You need permission to edit the template to change either section. **Markups** is shown only to members who can view cost and profit information, which is separate from template-edit permission. Use [Retail Settings](/reference/retail-settings.md) for the workspace defaults that apply when a plan does not start from a template.
