# Vendors

The **Vendors** tab on [Purchasing](/reference/purchasing.md) holds the wholesaler locations you use regularly. Favorite locations make supplier selection easier, and one location is shown as your **Default Wholesaler**.

The page separates that default from **My Other Wholesalers**. A wholesaler with several locations may have different location choices, so select the one you actually use.

## Favorites and purchase orders

Favorites are a convenient supplier list, not a record of purchases. Choosing a default does not submit an order, and removing a favorite does not cancel an order or remove the supplier's business.

Always check the vendor and price on the recipe planning row or purchase order itself. Those records can use a different wholesaler from your current default.
