# Export the purchasing summary

Export the [purchasing summary](/reference/purchasing/create-manage-orders.md) when you need a list of recipe requirements to review, print, or share. This is the planning list, not a copy of the quantities saved on a specific purchase order.

## Select and export

1. Retrieve the events and retail plans you want to include, then open **Summary**.
2. Select the items to include. Select a vendor's checkbox for its rows, or the table's heading checkbox for all rows.
3. Click **Export**, or **Export Plan** when purchase orders already exist.
4. Choose the format you need.

The export menu offers copyable tables and downloadable files.

## Choose a format

* **Copy Table** copies a formatted table you can paste into a document or email.
* **Copy Table (Plain Text)** copies a text list for applications that do not retain table formatting.
* **Download PDF** creates a printable document.
* **Download CSV** creates a file you can open in a spreadsheet.

The copied table distinguishes individual units from buying groups, such as stems and bunches. Check the selected rows and quantities before sharing. Missing buying-price or group-size information can prevent a useful group count from being shown.

For the quantities you actually recorded as purchased, [copy the purchase order](/reference/purchasing/orders/copy-purchase-order.md) instead. Neither export automatically sends a message to a wholesaler.
