# Create & Manage Orders

The **Create & Manage Orders** tab on [Purchasing](/reference/purchasing.md) helps you plan a combined purchase. Start with a date range, check the included events and retail plans, then review the flowers and hard goods used in their recipes.

The **Summary** shows buying requirements. **Purchase Orders** shows the saved orders associated with the retrieved records.

## Plan before creating an order

Check the recipes and their quantities first. For example, changing the number of centerpieces changes the flower requirements; changing how many bunches you buy belongs on the purchase order.

Review the wholesaler and buying price for each item. After creating orders, compare **Planning** with **Ordered** to find remaining needs or extras. Refresh the retrieved data if recipes or orders have changed elsewhere.

Changes to recipe inputs or planning prices here can update the included events and plans. They are not temporary edits to an export. Check the included records before making a combined change.
