# Duplicate a retail plan

Duplicate a retail plan when a similar collection gives you a useful starting point but the new period needs its own products, quantities, prices, and buying review.

1. On **Plans**, open the source plan's row action menu.
2. Select **Duplicate Plan**.
3. Enter a new plan name and choose its **Date Range**.
4. Select **Duplicate Plan**.

The copy opens as a separate retail plan. Review the copied product quantities, ingredients, labor, prices, and date range before relying on it. Changes to the new plan do not update the source plan.

Duplicating requires permission to edit the source plan and permission to create plans.

## Review the copy before use

Duplicating is best for a similar collection, not for preserving a live connection between periods. For example, duplicate a Mother's Day counter plan into a new May range, then change the products and product quantities for this year's demand. The source remains available for comparison.

Open **Details** to confirm the name, date range, tags, and assignments. Open **Recipes** to check each product's quantity, selling price, ingredients, labor, and tier. Then open **Order** only after those production assumptions are ready for buying review.
