# Plans

The **Plans** page is the starting point for retail work. A retail plan brings together the products you plan to sell or make during a date range, their ingredients, the work needed to prepare them, and the buying information that follows from those choices.

Plans support retail planning and production. They are not a checkout, point-of-sale, or customer-order entry page.

Use the list to compare plan names, date ranges, **Est. Sales**, tags, and assignees. **Est. Sales** is a plan summary based on its products. It is not a customer order total and does not replace the selling price of an individual product.

Open a plan to work through **Details**, **Tasks**, **Recipes**, **Insights**, **Order**, **Build**, and, where available, **History**. Use **New Plan** to start work, a template when an existing setup is a useful starting point, or a row action to duplicate, make a template from, or delete a plan.
