# Switch workspaces

An account can belong to more than one workspace. Use **Switch** in the profile menu when you need to work with the shared records and settings of another workspace you already belong to.

## Choose a workspace

1. Open the profile menu in the upper-right corner.
2. In the workspace card, select **Switch**.
3. In **Switch Workspace**, review each workspace's name, owner email, and member count.
4. Select **Switch** beside the workspace you want to use.

The current workspace is marked **Active**. Selecting another workspace reloads FlowerBuddy in that workspace. Its sidebar pages, events, plans, and shared settings can differ because they belong to the newly active workspace.

## Check the result

After FlowerBuddy reloads, open the profile menu and check the workspace card before continuing. Use the workspace name, owner email, and member count to confirm that you are viewing the intended shared records. For example, an event link for one business can remain unavailable after a switch to a different business, even when the event number looks familiar.

The **Switch** link appears only when your account belongs to another workspace. If you see one workspace and no **Switch** link, there is no second workspace available to select from this account. The dialog also has **Cancel** when you decide not to change workspaces.

Switching is different from inviting a member or changing a person's workspace role. Those actions belong in [Workspace Settings](/reference/workspace-settings.md). Ask a workspace owner to invite you when you need access to a workspace that is not listed, rather than expecting **Switch** to create that access.
