# Inventory settings

The **Settings** tab contains **Inventory Enabled**. On an eligible workspace, this switch controls whether Inventory Management is available to the workspace.

Keep it enabled while the team uses Inventory records, locations, purchase stages, or quantity movements. Disabling it changes the availability of Inventory information in the product. It is not a cleanup action and does not delete the Inventory records already stored.

Before changing the switch, make sure teammates do not need to complete an active count, receipt, pull, or return. Re-enable it before expecting Inventory controls and item availability information to appear again. This setting may not be available on every plan; availability is determined by the workspace's enabled features.
