# Log

The **Log** tab is the newest-first history of Inventory quantity actions. It is separate from an event's **History** tab and from a purchase order's details.

Choose **Item** to investigate one hard good or **Event** to investigate allocations for one event. Expand a row to see the movement type, entered quantity, losses or sales where applicable, the resulting Total and stage quantities, its event, and notes. This makes it possible to distinguish a count correction from a purchase or a return.

For example, filter to a vase and expand a **Receive** row to check whether a one-piece shortage was entered as lost. Follow it with the **Stock** row to confirm the received pieces became available.
