# Form Editor

The **Form Editor** is where you turn a saved form into a public intake page. Open it from a form row's edit icon. Changes to the form name, settings, design, and fields are saved as you update the corresponding control. There is no separate page-level Save action.

The editor keeps three related areas together:

* [Form Details](/reference/forms/form-editor/form-details.md) controls how a submission relates to event creation and what happens after submission.
* [Form Design](/reference/forms/form-editor/form-design.md) controls the public page's appearance and the text shown before and after submission.
* [Form Fields](/reference/forms/form-editor/form-fields.md) defines what recipients answer and which answers can become event information.

The form editor below shows the form name and event-creation control above the settings and design sections. The lower part of the page continues into the field cards.

## Plan the form before sharing it

Start with the response you need to act on. A form that should create an event needs a useful contact field and an event date. A form that only collects an initial message can use text and choice fields without automatically creating an event.

The editor's warnings identify missing contact or event-date information. Resolve those warnings before sharing a form that is intended to create events. A form can still be useful for another purpose when you deliberately do not enable event creation.
