# Filter and select recipe templates

The controls above the Recipe Templates cards narrow the library before you open a design or run a bulk action. Start with the text search, then add the available filters that describe the templates you need.

## Search and filter the library

Search can match the template name, recipe name, tags, and product identifiers that exist on the saved template. The filter controls include **Tag Filter** and **Color Filter**. When the related workspace features are enabled, they can also include **Product Code Filter** and **Product Tier Filter**.

**Product Details** controls whether the Product Code and Product Tier fields and filters are available. These controls are conditional workspace features, so do not expect them in every workspace.

The card list updates to show only matching templates. **No templates found** means the current search and filters have no matching cards, not that the library has been deleted.

## Select templates for reuse or bulk actions

Select a card when you are choosing templates in a reuse dialog. In the library, select the checkbox on a card when you want to run a bulk action. The selection bar shows the number selected and provides **Clear** to remove the current selection.

Use **Select All** to add every template in the current filtered list to your selection, including matches on other pages. Previously selected templates remain selected even if a new filter hides them. Select **Clear** before choosing a different filtered set, especially before bulk deletion. Use the selected count to check the scope, then use pagination and **Templates per page** to review a long result set.

The example below shows the relationship between the filter region, selected cards, and the action bar that becomes available after selection.

## Continue with the selection

Use [bulk update recipe templates](/reference/event-templates/recipe-templates/bulk-update-recipe-templates.md) when the same tag or image belongs on several templates. Use [duplicate and delete recipe templates](/reference/event-templates/recipe-templates/duplicate-and-delete-recipe-templates.md) when the action applies to one template or when you need to remove selected templates.
