# Duplicate and delete recipe templates

Use duplication when a saved design is a useful starting point but needs a separate name, ingredient list, price, or description. Use deletion only when the template should no longer be available in the Recipe Templates library.

## Duplicate a template

Open the template card, then select **Duplicate** in the editor. FlowerBuddy creates a separate template from the current design so you can adapt the copy. Review its **Template Name**, tags, images, ingredients, labor, notes, and price before you use it as a reusable starting point.

Duplication does not turn the original into the copy, and changing the copy does not change the original.

## Delete one template

Open the template card and select **Delete** in the editor. Review the confirmation dialog, then select **Delete** only when the template is no longer needed. Select **Cancel** to keep it.

The confirmation state below is a compact example of the final check before a template is removed.

## Delete selected templates in bulk

From the library, select the cards to remove and choose **Delete Templates**. Review the number selected in the confirmation dialog. After the action, read the success, skipped, and failed counts and confirm that the remaining cards are the templates you intend to keep.

Deletion removes the saved recipe template from the library. It does not change an event recipe that was already copied from that template.
