# Delete email templates

Delete a saved email template when the message should no longer be available for reuse. Open the **Email Templates** tab and select the delete icon on the template row.

FlowerBuddy checks whether tasks refer to the template before enabling the final delete action. Review that consequence in the confirmation dialog before you choose **Delete**.

In this example, the warning identifies one connected task and explains that deleting the template removes its connection while keeping the task.

## Review task references

If the template is connected to one or more tasks, the dialog explains how many tasks are affected. Deleting the template removes that email template connection from those tasks. It does not delete the tasks.

If FlowerBuddy cannot check the references, the dialog keeps **Delete** unavailable until the check succeeds. Select **Cancel** to keep the template and its task connections.

## Confirm the deletion

After reviewing the warning, select **Delete** to remove the saved email template from the library. Select **Cancel** to leave it unchanged. Deleting the library record does not send an email and does not remove messages that you already copied into another email editor.
