# Email Templates

The **Email Templates** tab stores reusable subjects and rich-text messages that you can personalize for a selected event and contact. It helps you keep recurring messages consistent while leaving the final recipient, timing, and send decision with the florist.

Email templates are not automatic payment notification emails. FlowerBuddy currently does not send a saved email template for you. From an event, you choose a template, review the resolved recipient, subject, and body, copy those parts into your email editor, and send the message manually. Automatic payment notifications are a separate Event Settings feature.

The tab provides **New Email Template**, **Search email templates**, saved rows, and edit and delete icons. A row can show its name, optional description, and subject.

The library below shows the saved-message list and the controls for creating and finding a template.

## Create, personalize, and reuse messages

Select **New Email Template** to open the editor. Enter a name, add an optional description, write the subject and body, and save the template. Use the search field to find a saved message by name, description, or subject.

When you use a template from an event, FlowerBuddy resolves its variables against that event, its contact, the sender, and the workspace brand information. The resolved copy is a preview for that one message. Editing the saved template changes future uses, not a message you already copied into your email editor.

See [create and edit email templates](/reference/event-templates/email-templates/create-and-edit-email-templates.md) for the editor and [use variables and copy an email template](/reference/event-templates/email-templates/use-variables-and-manual-copy.md) for personalization and manual sending.

## Manage saved messages

Select the edit icon on a row to update the template. Select the delete icon to review its references and remove it. If a task uses the template, the delete dialog explains that the connection will be removed from those tasks while the tasks themselves remain.

See [delete email templates](/reference/event-templates/email-templates/delete-email-templates.md) for that warning and the deletion check.
