# Prepare proposal content in a template

The template **Proposal** tab stores a reusable client presentation. It can provide proposal sections, images, notes, Scope of Services content, expiration settings, and the design style that a new event can start with.

The template proposal below shows **Expires**, **Show Date**, **Expires After (days)**, **Document Design**, and a reusable design-inspiration section. It is an editor view, not a published client proposal.

## Prepare reusable presentation

Use the proposal controls to arrange design sections, add reusable headings and descriptions, and choose the images or flower and decor content that belongs in the starting presentation. For shared controls, see [Design the proposal and its sections](/reference/event-page/proposal/design-and-sections.md) and [Style the proposal](/reference/event-page/proposal/style-the-proposal.md).

Use **Expires** and **Show Date** as defaults when future proposals need them. Review the actual event date and expiration behavior after creating an event because the template date is only a starting value.

## Review before sharing

When a new event is created from the template, review the proposal for client-specific wording, quantities, optional choices, images, and prices. Do not treat the template as already published. Use [Preview and print a proposal](/reference/event-page/proposal/preview-and-pdf.md) and [Publish or unpublish a proposal](/reference/event-page/proposal/publish-and-client-portal.md) for the ordinary event process after review.

Replacing Proposal while applying a template can change a published proposal at its existing client link. Use that action only after reviewing its warning and the selected section choices.
