Create an event from a template

Use a saved event template when a new event should begin with an established planning setup. In Event Templates, find the template and select Create Event From Template in its Actions column.

The creation dialog keeps the new event's name and date separate from the reusable setup. Enter the new event name and date, review the selected template, then create the event.

FlowerBuddy Create New Event dialog for a new event from a selected event template. The Event Name field is populated, the Template Name (Optional) field is selected, an event calendar is visible, and Create is available after a date is chosen.

Enter the new event details

Enter the new record's name in Event Name and choose its date in the Event Date calendar. The template selector identifies which reusable setup will be copied into the event.

Use the event's own name and date even when the template has a name that describes a previous season or example. The template supplies setup, not the new event's client-specific details.

Create the event

Select Create. FlowerBuddy opens the new Event Page with the template's starting content. The source template remains in Event Templates for future use.

Review the new event before sharing a proposal or acting on its schedule. Add the client and professional contacts, adjust the date-specific timeline and quantities, and confirm that reusable prices, payments, contract content, and proposal wording fit this event.

Creating an event from a template is different from applying a template to an existing event. The creation flow makes a new event. The Event Page action updates selected sections of an event that already exists.
