# Workflow Statuses

Workflow Statuses add a workspace-defined progress label to an event. They let you describe meaningful stages or outcomes in addition to the event's main status. For example, a team might use statuses such as `Inquiry`, `Proposal ready`, or `Awaiting deposit` to make its sales and planning process easier to scan.

Workflow Statuses are shared definitions, not defaults copied into one event. A name, description, color, order, or archived state is maintained here for the workspace and can be used by existing events.

## What a Workflow Status controls

* **Name** is the label people select for an event.
* **Description** explains what the label means to your team. Keep it short enough to understand in a selector or list.
* **Color** makes the label easier to scan in event views.
* **Order** controls the order of active statuses where FlowerBuddy displays the shared list.
* **Archived** removes a definition from normal selection without deleting its history.
