# View Settings

The View Settings tab controls how cost and profit information, warnings, and dates are displayed by default in new events.

These choices affect presentation and guidance. They do not change the event's underlying prices, costs, payment amounts, or dates.

The image below shows profit display, warning tolerance, and date format controls.
