# Timezone

The Timezone tab sets the default timezone for new events. Event dates, payment timing, and other date-based behavior need a timezone so FlowerBuddy can interpret them consistently.

This is a creation-time default. An event created without an event template receives the timezone saved here. Changing it later does not update the timezone of existing events.

The image below shows the Default Event Timezone selector and current-location control.
