# Configure payment notification emails

Choose the reminder points that fit your payment process. The switches are independent, so you can enable only the notifications your team wants to use.

The image below shows the payment notification reminder switches together in the Auto Email tab.

## Choose reminder points

1. Open **Event Settings** and select **Auto Email**.
2. Review the **Payment Notification Emails** switches.
3. Enable the reminders your workspace wants to send:
   * **Upcoming Payment: 7 Days** gives advance notice one week before a payment.
   * **Upcoming Payment: 3 Days** gives advance notice three days before a payment.
   * **Payment Due** marks the payment's due point.
   * **Payment Overdue: 3 Days** follows a payment that remains unpaid three days after its due point.
   * **Payment Overdue: 7 Days** follows a payment that remains unpaid seven days after its due point.
4. Disable reminders your team does not want to use.

Choose either or both upcoming reminders when clients benefit from more than one advance notice. Overdue reminders should match the follow-up process your team can support.

The defaults apply to future events created without an event template. Changing them does not send an immediate email or rewrite notification settings already copied into an existing event.
