# Tasks

The **Tasks** tab on an Event Page organizes the work for one event. Use it when you are reviewing that event's preparation, assigning responsibility, or checking whether event work is complete. The [Tasks page](/reference/tasks.md) brings work from multiple events together.

The event Tasks tab groups work by **To Do**, **In Progress**, and **Complete**, with actions for adding tasks and groups above the board.

## Event tasks and groups

An event task is one piece of work for the open event. A task can stand alone or belong to a task group. A group keeps related work together and shows its progress, while the tasks inside it keep their own statuses, assignees, and due-date rules.

For example, a group named "Design review" could contain "Confirm centerpiece quantities" and "Send rental confirmation" for one wedding. The group helps the florist review the larger piece of work, while each task identifies the person's specific responsibility.

The tab shows **To Do**, **In Progress**, and **Complete** work in **Board** or **List** presentation. An overdue-task badge can appear on the **Tasks** tab. The badge counts overdue To Do tasks that are still required for this event.

## Event task actions

Use **Add Task** to add work directly to the open event. Unlike the Tasks page's Add Task dialog, this event's Tasks tab does not require you to choose the event first. Use **Add Group** to create a group for related event work.

Use **Show unresolved** when you want to include unfinished tasks whose due dates depend on unfinished work. The **Assignee** field can focus the tab on direct member assignments or the selected Event role. **Board** and **List** change how the same event work is arranged.

The Tasks page articles explain shared behavior without repeating it here:
