# Add title pages and images to a proposal

Title pages introduce the event, while image sections present design references in a layout that fits the proposal. The available choices are different content types, so choose the section based on what you want the client to see.

Use [proposal sections](/reference/event-page/proposal/design-and-sections.md) to add and arrange a section. Use [proposal design](/reference/event-page/proposal/style-the-proposal.md) for the document-wide and shared section styling controls.

## Add a title page

1. Open the event and select **Proposal**.
2. Open the section settings for an existing section, or select **Add Section Above** where you want the new section.
3. In **Add Proposal Section**, select a title page under **Title Pages**, then select **Add**.

### Logo & Event Name

**Logo & Event Name** places an optional centered image above the event name and date. The event name and date come from the event, so update those values on **Details** when they are incorrect.

This example shows a logo above the event name and date in the Proposal editor. The section's settings button is in its upper-right corner.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2616748322-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtdSEPutB4SrRwwUMOIx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-fd925d269a392d3802aac63704e3a9f9be8d5bfc%2F07-proposal-title.png?alt=media" alt="Logo &#x26; Event Name section in the Proposal editor, showing a centered FlowerBuddy logo, Amelia and Noah Garden Wedding, the event date, an add-section button above the section, and a settings button at the upper right." width="550"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

To add the image, use the image area in the new section to upload an image or choose one from the available image options. Open **Section Settings** to adjust the title page's **Image Size** and **Date Format**. The date format choices are based on the event date and are shown as formatted examples in the menu.

Use **Section Style** to change the **Heading** and **Date** presentation, such as the font, font size, color, and alignment available for each text area. These choices change how this title page is presented; they do not change the event name or date.

Select **Preview Proposal**. The preview should show the selected image, event name, and formatted date without the editor controls.

### Hero Image

**Hero Image** uses a full-width image with editable text over it. After adding the section:

1. Add an image through the image area. You can upload an image, select one from **Library**, or use **AI Image** when that option is available.
2. Select the text marked **Proposal Title (Click to Edit)**, **Subtitle (Click to Edit)**, or **Detail (Click to Edit)** and enter the text for that part of the hero.
3. Open **Section Settings** and use **Show Color Bar** when you want the translucent color bar behind the subtitle and detail text.
4. Use **Section Style** for the text presentation. The title, subtitle, and detail areas have their own text styling controls.

Select **Preview Proposal**. The preview should show the hero image, the text you entered, and the color bar only when **Show Color Bar** is on.

## Add an image section

The image section types use different compositions:

* **Images (Masonry)** arranges images in columns with varied heights. Use **Columns** and **Gap** in **Section Settings** to control the layout.
* **Images (Brick)** arranges images in rows with a consistent row height. Use **Row Height** and **Spacing** in **Section Settings**.
* **Images (Grid)** arranges images in a fixed grid. Use **Columns** and **Spacing** in **Section Settings**.
* **Image Left** places one image on the left and editable text on the right.
* **Image Right** places one image on the right and editable text on the left.

The **Images (Masonry)** example below shows floral design references in two columns. Images can have different heights while remaining in the same collection.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2616748322-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtdSEPutB4SrRwwUMOIx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-974c2f86d1e3ca76f6ba88a19cd449dcd6a3bf00%2F10-proposal-images.png?alt=media" alt="Images (Masonry) section in the florist&#x27;s Proposal editor, with wedding flower references in two columns of varied-height images, including a wrist corsage, bouquets, a ceremony arch, and reception arrangements." width="550"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

To add one:

1. From **Add Proposal Section**, select the layout under **Images**, then select **Add**.
2. In the image area, select the upload control, **Select from Library**, or **Generate with AI**, or drag media onto the section. The available options depend on the section and workspace access.
3. For **Image Left** or **Image Right**, select the text area and enter the accompanying description.
4. For a grid-based section, drag the images into the order you want. Open **Section Settings** to adjust the controls listed for that layout.

Select **Preview Proposal** after adding the media. Confirm that the images appear in the intended order and that the layout matches the purpose of the section. For example, use **Images (Grid)** for evenly sized references or **Image Left** when one image needs an explanation beside it.
