# Proposal sections

Use proposal sections to decide which parts of an event the client sees and the order in which they appear. A section is a block such as a title page, image layout, color palette, event details, notes, or Scope of Services. Enabled sections are used when FlowerBuddy renders the proposal and creates its PDF.

The Proposal tab shows the section canvas and the controls for adding, styling, enabling, and reordering proposal sections.

## Start from the Proposal tab

1. Open the event and select **Proposal**.
2. Hover over an existing section and open its settings. You can also use the section's add control when it appears.
3. Select **Add Section Above**.

The **Add Proposal Section** dialog groups the available choices. Select a preview to choose a section type, then select **Add**. The new section is inserted above the section whose settings you opened. Select **Cancel** to close the dialog without adding anything.

The choices are grouped by purpose:

* **Layout** adds a page break for PDF layout.
* **Title Pages** adds **Logo & Event Name** or **Hero Image**.
* **Documents** adds **Design Doc** or **Attachments**.
* **Design Elements** adds **Flowers & Decor** or **Color Palette**.
* **Images** adds one of the available image layouts.
* **Event Details** adds **Clients**, **Contacts**, or **Timeline**.
* **Notes** adds **Notes** or **Links**.

The section-specific settings appear after the section is added. Use the article about [styling a proposal and its sections](/reference/event-page/proposal/style-the-proposal.md) for presentation controls and [Scope of Services](/reference/event-page/proposal/scope-of-services.md) for the event offering summary.

## Arrange and show sections

Open **Section Settings** for any section and choose **Reorder Sections**. Drag the sections into the order you want, then select **Done Reordering**. The order in the editor becomes the order used in the rendered proposal and PDF.

Most sections have an enabled switch. Turn it off to keep the section in the editor without showing it in the rendered proposal. Turn it on again when the content is ready to show. **Scope of Services** is a required section type and does not use the same enabled switch.

If the section supports a heading, use **Show Heading** to control whether its heading appears. This changes the presentation of the section, not the section's underlying content.

## Remove a section

Open **Section Settings**, choose **Delete Section**, and confirm the deletion. The delete control is not available for **Scope of Services**. Removing a section removes that content block from the proposal. It does not delete the event information, recipes, images, or files that the section used.

## Preview the section

Return to the proposal canvas and confirm the section is in the intended position and has the intended visibility. Then select **Preview Proposal** to check the client-facing result. A section that is still visible in the editor but disabled should not appear in the rendered proposal.
