Set an event Workflow Status

A Workflow Status adds detail to the event's main status. For example, you might name two custom statuses "Inquiry: awaiting contact" and "Inquiry: meeting scheduled" to distinguish progress while both events remain inquiries.

Choose or clear a Workflow Status

  1. Open the event and find the Workflow Status control beside its main status in the summary.

  2. Select the current value, or No workflow status if none is assigned.

  3. Choose a status. Use Search workflow statuses to narrow a long list.

  4. To remove the assignment, select No workflow status from the menu.

The menu sits beside the event's main status. The example choices below are custom names defined by the workspace, not a required sequence of steps.

FlowerBuddy event summary with Inquiry as its main status and the Workflow Status menu open, showing search, No workflow status, and three custom choices for inquiry, proposal, and booked progress.

The selected name appears in the event summary. Your workspace defines these choices in Event Settings under Workflow Statuses. Archived choices cannot be newly selected. The summary control appears when the workspace has choices or the event already has a Workflow Status; Client View hides it.

Keep the two statuses distinct

Choosing "Booked: deposit collected" does not book the event or record a payment. It is a name your team uses for additional detail. Change the main event status separately and record actual payments on Details.

You can also set a Workflow Status when a task or task group is completed.
