Change an event status

Use the event's status to show its broad stage, such as Inquiry, Proposal, or Booked. For finer detail, use a Workflow Status.

Choose a status

  1. Open the event and select its current status at the right of the summary above the tabs.

  2. Choose Inquiry, Proposal, Booked, Completed, Cancelled, Lost, or Archived from the available choices. The current status is not repeated in the menu.

  3. If you choose Booked, read the Book Event confirmation before continuing.

The Book Event dialog explains that manual booking bypasses client contract signing and cannot be undone. Review it before selecting the confirmation action.

Book Event confirmation dialog warning that manual booking bypasses client contract review and signing, generates an unsigned document the client can view and download, and cannot be undone. Cancel and Book Event buttons are below the warning.

The summary displays the new status after the change. Active is a filter on the Events page that combines Inquiry, Proposal, and Booked events; it is not another status to choose here.

Before manually booking

Manual booking bypasses the client's opportunity to review and sign the contract and creates an unsigned document recording the action. The confirmation explains this consequence. Depending on your subscription, it can also show a fee that will be charged. Continue only when you intend to book on those terms.

If contract documents already exist, Inquiry and Proposal may be unavailable. If the summary shows Amended, review the pending changes rather than treating that label as a new event status. See Manually confirm amendments or Publish amendments for client review.
