# Event summary

The summary above an event's tabs keeps the event name, event number, date, status, and totals in view as you work. Use it to recognize the event, check its broad progress, and compare estimated cost with the current event price.

The summary also contains the event image and padlock. Locking protects against accidental changes; it does not mean that a contract has been signed. A **Workflow Status**, when configured, adds your team's own progress detail alongside the main event status.

After a contract is signed, changes can be tracked as amendments against what was agreed. The summary can show **Amended** while those changes await confirmation. You can ask the client to review them or confirm them manually, depending on how you are agreeing the changes.
