# Manage event data and team assignments

{% hint style="info" %}
Client View is not enabled for every workspace. When available, it hides cost and profit information in your event view; it is separate from the Client Portal.
{% endhint %}

**Key Event Data** identifies the event, its date, and the workspace members connected to it. It also provides an internal Client View setting for reviewing the event without its cost and profit figures.

The Details tab keeps the event identity, tags, assignees, and Client View setting together in **Key Event Data**.

## Update the name or date

1. Open the event and select **Details**.
2. Expand **Key Event Data**.
3. To change the name, select the pencil icon beside **Name**, enter the new name, then move away from the field and close the dialog.
4. To change the date, select the pencil icon beside **Date**, choose the event date, and select **Save**.

The date is interpreted using the timezone shown below it. The event number is assigned by FlowerBuddy and appears as **Event #**. Use that number when you need a stable reference that is separate from the event name.

### Amended dates

After a contract is signed, changing the event date can create an amendment. FlowerBuddy shows the contracted date with the current date so you can compare them. Select the reset icon beside the amended date to restore the contracted date.

Resetting the date removes that current date amendment. It does not undo other amendments on the event.

## Tags, assignees, and Event Roles

Use the three assignment tools for different purposes:

* **Tags** group events with something in common, such as a venue, collection, or business category.
* **Assignees** connect workspace members to the event generally.
* **Event Roles** identify responsibilities configured by your workspace, such as Lead Designer or Delivery Lead.

Select **+ Tag** to update tags. In **Assignees**, select the add-person icon to choose a workspace member. If the event has configured Event Roles, assign a workspace member to each role that applies to this event. Event Roles describe responsibility on this event. They do not change a member's workspace permissions.

## Hide cost and profit for an internal review

Turn on **Hide cost and profit** under **Client View** when you want the event summary to hide **Cost** and **Est. Profit** while leaving **Price** visible. Turn it off to restore those internal figures.

This setting changes what you see in FlowerBuddy. It does not publish the Client Portal, share the event, or change what a client can access.

## Edit access and locked events

The name, date, tags, assignees, and Event Roles require event edit access. Date and assignment controls are also unavailable while the event is locked. Unlock the event only when you intend to make changes, then lock it again when you are finished.

If an unsigned generated contract is keeping the event locked, unlocking the event removes that document. Review **Files > Contracts** before unlocking so you do not discard a signing document that should remain active.

When a change succeeds, the new value remains visible in **Key Event Data**. For a contracted date change, also review the amended indicator in the event summary.
