# Build progress, completion, and photos

Build progress records where each recipe unit stands. Use a status for the work, **Completed By** for attribution, and a progress image for a finished product. FlowerBuddy uses the progress values and labor estimates to calculate the completion summary.

## Update a recipe's progress

1. Open the event and select **Build**.
2. Expand the recipe.
3. In **Progress**, select the status on the unit you want to update.
4. Choose **Incomplete**, **In Progress**, or **Complete**.

Use **Mark All** when every unit in that recipe should have the same status. Choose **Incomplete**, **In Progress**, or **Complete** from the Mark All controls. Use an individual unit status when the recipe is at different stages of completion.

## Read the completion summary

The summary at the top of Build shows the event's completion percentage and labor totals. **In Studio** can show **Total Hours**, **Completed**, and **Remaining**. **Onsite** shows the onsite total. The percentage and completed hours reflect the progress recorded for the event's included recipe work and its labor estimates.

For example, a Build page can show 0% complete, 13.08 total in-studio hours, 0 completed, 13.08 remaining, and 1.43 onsite hours when no recipe units have been completed. Completing units changes the summary as the event progresses.

The completion percentage is a production measure. It does not change the event's main status, such as **Proposal** or **Booked**.

## Record who completed a unit

Use the **Completed By** field on the unit's progress row. Choose an existing name when the person is already listed, or type a name and choose the add option when the person is not listed. Clear the field when the attribution was entered by mistake.

The name identifies who completed that unit. It does not change the unit's status. A recipient on the shared Build page can also update this field when the shared page allows editing.

## Add a finished-product photo

1. On the progress row without an image, select the camera control.
2. Choose the finished-product image.
3. Complete the crop step if FlowerBuddy shows one, then submit it.
4. Confirm that the thumbnail appears on the intended unit.

Select the image thumbnail to inspect it. Use the delete control when you need to remove it, then confirm **Delete Image**. Selecting **Cancel** keeps the image.

Use only images that the intended recipients may see. A progress image is different from a recipe's inspiration image. It records the state of one production unit.

## Updated Build progress

The update is complete when the intended unit shows the selected status, the correct **Completed By** value, and the intended thumbnail after the page refreshes. Recheck the completion and labor summary after several units change. Shared Build recipients can make the same production updates on **Build Instructions** without a FlowerBuddy sign-in when the page is published.
