# Tax Profiles

The **Tax Profiles** tab keeps reusable tax definitions in one place. A tax profile is one named tax with either a percentage or amount. A tax group is a saved collection of profiles that can be selected together.

Changing a profile or group can affect existing events. Review the warning in the editor before saving. A contract price is managed from its event through an amendment, not by changing the profile here.
