Manage tags

Tags are reusable labels for organizing library images and templates. They do not change an image, recipe template, or event template itself. The Tags table is the place to maintain existing labels after you have applied them from the record you are organizing.

Review tag use before changing it

From Core Data, open Tags. The table shows each tag and its use across Event Templates, Recipe Templates, and Library Images. Review those counts before changing a label so you understand how broadly the change will appear.

For example, a tag named "Spring palette" can help your team find related image references and recipe templates. Use one clear label rather than several nearly identical labels that make filtering less reliable.

The Tags table keeps the usage counts beside the edit and delete actions so you can review the scope of a maintenance change first.

Rename a tag

  1. Select the edit icon beside the tag.

  2. Enter the new label and save the change.

  3. Review the updated label in the table.

The new name appears on associated recipe templates and library images. Rename a tag when its meaning changes without creating a second label for the same purpose. For example, rename a collection label that your team no longer uses rather than applying a new version to only some of the related records.

Remove a tag

Select the delete icon to remove a tag that is no longer useful. Deleting is permanent and removes the tag from associated items. It does not delete the images or templates that used it. If the tag still describes useful content but needs a clearer name, rename it instead.

To create or apply a tag, use the tag control on the image or template you are organizing. That control is where you choose the record that receives the tag. Return to Tags for shared maintenance and usage review.
