# Manage professional contacts

Professional Contacts are reusable people who help with events, such as planners, venue contacts, and coordinators. They are not clients and they are not workspace members. Saving a professional contact makes their information available to your team; it does not grant that person access to FlowerBuddy.

## Add a professional contact

1. From **Core Data**, open **Professional Contacts** and select **Add Contact**.
2. Enter the name and **Role**, then add the contact details your team will use: company, email, phone, address, website, and notes.
3. Select **Add** to save the shared record.

Use the company field when the person belongs to a saved [company](/reference/core-data/companies.md). For example, a venue coordinator can be linked to their venue company while retaining their direct email and phone number. The company association organizes records and does not make the contact a workspace member.

## Update shared details and event use

Open the **Events** count before editing a contact when you need to see where the saved person is used. Select the edit icon to change the shared details. Changes update the saved contact record, so the revised details can be used wherever that contact appears. Use the event's Contact Info section to attach or remove a contact from one event rather than changing the Core Data record for an event-only change.

## Remove a contact

Select the delete icon only when the reusable record is no longer needed. Review the **Events** count first so you understand where the person appears. Use deletion for a duplicate or obsolete shared record, not for removing a professional from one event.
